Corporate Solutions provided experts for providing institutional strengthening to the Accounting Department and Internal Auditing function within the Ministry of Transport and Communications. This was carried out in close consultation with the MOF and other relevant government agencies.
- Conducting in-depth analysis of MOTC's current accounting and reporting processes and identifying ways for improving those processes
Implementing a project accounting function to monitor project costs and assessing the cost-effectiveness of ADB-financed projects by developing performance indicators
Reviewing audit standards issued by MOF and identifying the main gaps between those and International Standards of Auditing
Preparing a basic manual of procedures for conducting internal auditing functions, and training internal auditing staff in its use
Developing financial accounting and reporting manuals for ADB-financed projects and training MOTC and its regional offices in their use and in procedures to be followed
Conducting training sessions on the application of the Accounting and Auditing Policies and Procedures manual including generally accepted accounting principals and International Standards on Accounting and Auditing.
