Corporate Solutions was awarded a framework contract for preparing, defining, assessing and developing a potential portfolio of investment projects, ultimately aimed at modernising and increasing the efficiency of the local transport systems in Siberia and the Russian Far East region.
The project involved the following activities:
(i)Analysis of the legal framework governing urban transport in Russia, highlighting opportunities and constraints in structuring projects, in order to foster sustainable and commercial urban transport operations;
(ii)Based on existing EBRD project documentation, developing standard EBRD Project Documentation Packages;
(iii)Supporting links with the Russian professional transport community to facilitate dissemination and sharing of best practices;
(iv)Project-related consultancy with specific inputs to help identify, prepare and appraise bankable projects;
(v)Typical tasks are likely to include project structuring, environmental, economic or financial analysis, due diligence for investment proposals and design for "transition impact".
