Georgian Railways Limited, Oil Transit – Assistance with project preparation

In 2003 Georgian Railways Limited (GRL) approached the EBRD to finance the purchase of oil tank wagons and infrastructure maintenance equipment. Corporate Solutions was invited to assist the EBRD in the due diligence required for approval by EBRD's management. The objectives of the assignment were to provide inputs to all aspects of project preparation, namely: traffic forecasting; review of the proposed investments; collection of financial data; and further recommendations for sector restructuring.
