Design of a Government Financial Management Information System for the Republic of Armenia

In 2005 Corporate Solutions was awarded a contract to design and specify a new Government Financial Management Information System (GFMIS) for the Government of Armenia. The design was to include the technical and functional requirements of all government and state organisations. The World Bank provides the funding for the project and the beneficiary is the Ministry of Finance and Economy in Armenia . The main objectives of the project are assessment of the Government's Organisation, financial management processes and transactions and Information Systems infrastructure; design of functional and technical architecture for a new GFMIS and preparation of a system specification; preparation of an Implementation Strategy for the introduction of the new system; and design the organizational and legal changes required to support the new system.
